McBeth VineyardsFarm House Pinot Noir
McBeth Vineyards is a small family owned and operated producer of estate grown Pinot Noir, located just outside of Eugene, Oregon in the Willamette Valley. I work directly with the owners to create a comprehensive communications system that is timeless.
A view from the owners' kitchen window, the simple line art, scratchboard style, evokes a hand-done quality that is charming and low-key. McBeth Vineyards Farm House Pinot Noir is unpretentious and easy drinking. |
ESSENTIALS
Branding + Identity
Wine Label + Packaging Stationery Suite Art Direction Illustration Photography, Image Library Point-of-Sale Print Production Management Website Bones |
CONCEPT
The identity system is inspired by the topography of the property and a view from the vineyard owners' kitchen window. Keeping the wine label black and white yields a high contrast look that helps to differentiate the bottles when shelved amongst other Oregon Pinots. One color printing also allows the client to produce labels cost-effectively. |
Spencer Creek Cellars
Secondary Label Design + Art PROCESS Cut paper collage artwork was originally created for McBeth's secondary label called Spencer Creek Cellars, which was sold while their vines matured. To maintain brand equity established from sales of Spencer Creek, the art served as the inspiration for the black and white scratchboard style illustration. |
RESULTS
McBeth was able to build on the familiarity of the previous art, but by streamlining the illustration, we are able to establish a premium look that aligns with an higher price point for their 100% Estate Grown Pinot Noir.
